I just spent two grand on the rebuilding of the transmission in my truck. It is a 95 c1500 with the 350. After putting this money into the truck I need it to really last. I was just wondering about the overall durability of this engine. The motor has just over 127k miles on it, the truck was well maintained, regular oil changes etc. I know this because I have the records of the truck since day one. How long should I expect this engine to last? I understand that a lot of things determine this but I was just wondering what your experiences have been with this motor. Any help would be appreciated.

im now currently rebuilding my engine with a stand alone tbi system. the engine that is being replaced has 257k miles on it. the tbi system is a good system but riddled with small problems. if you plan to stay with the tbi platform i highly suggest switching to a stand alone system.
