Was wondering what mods I can do to get around 280-300 hp 375-400 tq?

I'm new to the 5.7 vortec motors, I do plan on installing a cai and exhaust

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    All depends on your budget...

Performance intake manifold, ported cylinder heads, cam, headers, CAI, hi-flow cats.

Depending on the miles on the motor, the block should be clearanced. If that is the case, get the Crank balanced, and go with flat top pistons.

A good rebuild by a reliable Engine shop, with the items mentioned above will run around $3500.

Cool thanks, when u mentioned ported heads, r u meaning port the stock heads? How well do they flow?

What type of cam will work with these heads an not have ptv clearance issues?

Sorry, I'm use to the mustang side of things still

It would, but ill spend that money on modifying the truck, I like the height, I use to have a 98 mustang gt that was lowered an modified, an I couldn't go anywhere when it snowed. LOL hell I still have $3650 worth of mustang stuff in my basement for sale
