700R4 to 4l60-e??

I have a 700R4 in my truck that is ready for a rebuild. In the meantime I have a 4L60-e sitting here that I'd like to put in. Is this a possible swap? The big difference I see is the electrical connector on the passenger side where the 700R4 has a speedo. What is the 4L60-E connector for exactly? And, if yall have any tips, options or ideas I'd be greatfull. Thanks guys.

No. The 4L60E will not work without being hooked up to a computer. Because it's a computer controlled transmission. That's what the connector on the right side of it is for. Better off getting the 700R4 rebuilt.

If you look closer you will see the 700 has a TV cable and the 4L60E has a big electrical connector.
