86 suburban 4wd which wheels spin?

    i'm thinking of turning my 86 burban into a mud bog truck. truck is totally stock. which wheels will spin in 4wd hi and 4wd low if i put it in some really deep mud?

    does the truck have loccers in the front or rear?

    it does not. truck is completely stock.

    a locker will make both wheels spin @ the same time no mater what
    so if its not locked the wheel that is in less of a bind will spin

    Assuming open diffs front and rear, you will get at least one front and one rear spinning. Even with an open diff it's possible to get 3 or 4 spinning. The only way to guarantee 3 or 4 spinning is to lock/spool the diffs.

    i'm gving the truck till the end of october. if its still in the front yard for sale by then i think i'm just going to do the old lincoln locker for the rear and weld the axle solid. then it hits the mud.
