i have 97' chevy 1500 with a 5.7L 350. i have an engine misfire when i reach 2500 RPM. i have replaced the dist. cap, dist. rotor, plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, cats. it still misfires. it doesnt miss at idle just mostly when it hits 2500 RPM. the engine light was on but is now off. cylinders 5 and 6 are the only cylinders misfiring. anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? let me know. thanks

What were the engine codes that showed up? Is this a TBI engine?

Sounds like what my freinds 98 1500 was doing, it would spit and sputter going up even small hills, it was 02 sensor. Sorry but I dont remember if it was before or after cat. If I find out I will post.
