A.R.E. Wounded Warrior Project Truck Snags GM Awards

    Massillon, Ohio-based A.R.E., a manufacturer of fiberglass truck caps and hard tonneau covers[​IMG], recently received two GM Design awards for its customized Wounded Warrior Project 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.
    A.R.E.’s project truck was recognized by the carmaker in the “Chevrolet’s Best New off Road Silverado” and “Best New Chevrolet[​IMG] Interior” categories, according to A.R.E.
    The Silverado was built by Trent’s Trick Upholstery, Lynch Concepts and A.R.E. The truck’s features include an A.R.E. Z Series truck cap, BMF Wheels, Skyjacker Suspension system, Hellwig sway bars, Toyo Tires and AutoHome USA rooftop tent system. The interior includes BedRug[​IMG] products and a Kicker speaker system.
    "We are extremely pleased Chevrolet recognizes the message conveyed through the look and feel of this Silverado on behalf of the Wounded Warrior Project," said Bryan Baker, director of marketing for A.R.E. "The fact that the build was centered around such a worthwhile cause makes this even more special."
    The Wounded Warrior Project supports and encourages experiences that contribute to independence and quality of life for veterans. To help spread the project’s message, the A.R.E. truck will be displayed at Country Music Association Festival, Ground Zero in New York City, Wounded Warrior Project events, sporting events, auto shows and outdoor expos, according to A.R.E.
