Any chance that loose battery cables could have triggered the ABS light to come on ? Truck actually seems to run smoother now with tightened cables.

Did you clear the ABS light and did it come on again? Also I check/tighten my battery cables every month because these side post batterys seem to loosen and with todays electronics in the truck you need a good solid connection.

could also be in your front hub bearing assembly.Have the truck scanned and see what that tells you.If it is the bearing not a real high dollar fix. With GM's this is 80 percent of the time the case.

ABS is one time it absolutely pays to have it scanned. Cost less than one bearing on that truck, which you probably don't need anyway. Front wheel speed sensors are about $40, if that is even the problem. Just as likely to be a corroded connection.
