First off I'm new to this site, just joined tonight. I have a 04 2500HD with the 6.6L duramax, I work at a customs shop and do plenty of audio installs but have never done one on a factory vehicle with a bose system in it without replacing all the components, what i want to do is simply add an amp and one sub to the existing system, the only thing i am wondering about is how to get the rca's hooked into the system, i have heard many differant ways but no one has been able to give me a simple answer on how to do this, thanks a ton.

Good Post! First off, Welcome to the site. I have wondered that same question about my 06 2500HD w/Bose as I like the factory system but would like to add an amp and sub.

hey i have an 06 silverado i just put in a jl12 all you need is signal converter that splices into the factory headunit output wires. the converter has hook ups for your rca wires. you can get them at any stero shop, best buy, and circut city....

Hey guys, im pretty sure bose or not that this is what you have to do:

    A) Purchase an amp with HI/LOW inputs, which basically means you connect these inputs to you front left, right and rear right, left instead of the rca jacks, by doing this also you do not need a remote/trigger wire for your amp usually because the amp detects hi freq. and turns on, one thing about this though is that after you shu the music off the amp stays on for a couple minutes.

    B) Purchase a inline amplifier adapter ( somethign like that) which basically does the same thing as above except you only have to hook up front left+/- and right+/-, and it converts to rca jacks, they sell them at best buy, future shop. and canadian tire, but then you still need a remote/trigger wire to the amp.
