I had the dealer change out the intake and exaust with the GM cold air intake and dual exaust. Now the AFM changes from 4 to 8 cyclinders about every 10 to 30 seconds. I live in florida and the roads are almost without expection stright and flat so incline and lateal pressure are not the issue. Does the computer need to be reprogramed? The dealer says no but their not always right. If anyone can help I'm all ears. 2008 Silverado 1500 5.3engine

You've neglected to include your vehicle's information. Year, model, mileage? This may help in better poinpointing an accurate answer for you.

Welcome to the site! I would say it is a programming or a sensor issue. Since the dealer did the work for you, keep on them about correcting the problem. If not, take it to another dealer.
