Hi, yesterday the AC stopped blowing cold. Fan works, compressor seems to kick on and the engine changes idle as a result, but only ambient air comes through. What to I check?

Will it blow cold if you are moving and only warm when sitting still??

I would get guages and check pressure....quick and easy first check.
Maybe also go through your fueses and make sure you have not blown a fuse.

    first is to check pressures

more than likely got a leak and lost the refrigerant.

with ac running check your ac lines. cold side should be cold, hot side hot. check for frosted places wich would indicate a restriction

    Thanks for your replies guys

This morning I found the A/C belt on the ground. It had broken. DOH! Well there's your problem! Pullies seem ok, so I'm just going to replace it.

    Appreciate the replies.
