Anybody familiar with the Volant cold air intake?

It seems to me that the heatshield on the K&N cai kit lets a lot of hot air into the intake. The Volant with an airbox just seems to be a better design. Does it draw air in from outside the engine compartment without the optional $120.00 "ram air scoop"? Has anybody ever read any actual reviews of cold air intakes in a magazine? Sure would like to know if the Volant is worth spending $300.00 on. Thanks!
  2. Yes the Volant is worth spending the $300.00 on.
It seals engine bay heat out a lot better then that k&n.
On my GTO I've seen 40 Degree difference in IAT temps sitting in traffic between the K&N and Volant and a 3 tenths better at the track.

We carry them so if you want a quote on it shoot myself or Matt a PM.

I am leaning toward the Vararam intake but the Volant would be my second chioce. I have had K & N's in the past and had mixed results. Good Luck !
