This seller mentions that the stereo has to be programed by the dealer, What is this all about? A couple months ago i took my 05 silverado to the dealer to have the vent door actuator replaced and the R/F speaker and cd player quit working right after. Could this be due to the work done?

These radios are programed to recognize the vehicle's VIN. If it's not put back into the vehicle it originally came with it will need to be reprogrammed at the dealer. Or if the vehicle's computer was changed and not reprogrammed to the new VIN, then the radio would not work either.

So unless they changed your radio it's unlikely (but not impossible) to be the reason that your radio isn't working properly now.

I Dont think so. Which actuator was replaced? There's one in the very middle of the dash and one at the very bottom of the dash in the middle.
