Anyone have any experience with cell phone amps?

I'm looking to get a cell phone amp for when I go out into the rural reas where cell reception is poor. I think I have chosen this amplifier (http://www.wpsantennas.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=375) paired with this (http://www.alternativewireless.com/.../wilson-dual-band-antenna-magnetic-mount.html) antenna. Now, my question is, can I use a slightly higher gain antenna on the inside of my truck than the little small stealth antenna it comes with to gain a little more than a 1 foot range on the inside antenna? I'm trying to get improved cell reception throughout my entire suburban, but I don't want to cause oscillations that will shut the amp down. Thanks.

We've looked into it at work, haven't tested them yet. The company that I work for has a software package that can run a remote module on a pocket PC cellular phone. Some customers are out in low-cell areas and have looked into those amps. I'll let you know if we find anything.
