The whole bill is insane, its nothing but a blatant gun grab. The worst part is that the bill as it sits will never get approved, what will happen is some amendments will get made, and they will claim that they were "moderate" and that they "support" the second amendment.

The submission of bills the submiter know have no chance of passing ... is mere posturing for votes. It's also a waste of lgislative time and, therefore, taxpayer money. However, it's what politicians do...

Maybe so, but I'm reading that the whole bill may not pass, but some parts may get through. I think that's also part of the negotiation to start out aggressive in the hopes to get what you want put through.

Funny how they can put something together so fast when it fits thier agenda. But when it comes to a budget the can gets kicked down the road over and over

No its law... they have already prosecuted some people for having pistols (with pistol permit) but have not turned them in do to a felony conviction in the past.. Also I have heard they have arrested someone for possesing high capacity magazines that had more than 7 rounds in them.. the magazines are ok to own as long as there are not more than 7 rounds in them.. Everyone has until April to register thier semi-automatic rifles that have a military type feature on them(Basically all semi-auto rifles). And pistol permits have to be re-certified every 5 years which reminds me that mine is due.. I never did register to get on the do not publicize my pistol permit list. nothing like having to get on a list so your not on a list..:sign0023:

Hopefully as April draws near the lawsuits that have been filed against the state that this was entered into law wrongfully will prevail... hard to say when it has to do with the government:neutral::grrrrrr:
