I need to replace a front wheel hub assembly in my 2004 silverado due to a bad wheel bearing and need to know what size the big axle nut is so i can purchase a socket to do the job. Searching around has led me to think that it might be 36mm. But i'm not exactly sure. So could somebody tell me yes or no on this size?

Should be 36mm. If you go to AutoZone they will sell you a shaft with a lifetime warranty, and they will loan you the socket you need.

They can keep the shaft cause it's the wheel hub assembly i need to replace, lol.

    Gotcha....

They will still loan you the socket though. And the Duralast hub bearings seem to be holding up very well.
