balljoint replacement

    just wondering how hard it is to change the lower balljoints on an 83 suburban 3/4 ton 4x4?

    Depends on if they bolt on or press on. Either way it's not hard. Bolt on is just easier.

    Let's put it this way... I've had my new lower balljoints for my 2wd '91 Suburban rolling around in the back of the truck for about 2 years now.... :gasp:

    He's got a solid front axle in that. I've never done one, but I think you will have to pull the hubs off and the axle shafts out. Might as well replace the axle u-joints while it's apart, and the uppers too.
