hey you guys im new to this but yea... i have a problem with my brakes on my lifted 99 silverado 1500. when im driving and coming up to stop i press the brake and almost at the complete stop there is a wierd deep grinding noise that comes from the pedal and as the noise is happening the pedal starts to push against my foot and makes it very difficult to press down on the brake...ive already got new brakes and a new axle and this problem still arises..please help...Thanx

That sounds like your ABS is kicking in. With a lift comes bigger tires and that can screw up the ABS sensors if not adjusted properly for the new size of tires, especially if you go alot bigger then the stock size. Can you give us more info....amount of lift, size of tires/wheels.

I agree. Don't think you'll get that sound from ABS. Have you upgraded your brakes since the tire change? You probably lost some stopping power.
