Burning oil smell in my 2011

    Hello All..
    I bought a 2011 silverado 4.8 ,4x4 work truck this past Nov.
When I run the heater I get a burning oil smell in the cab. I've checked under the hood and can't smell or see anything wrong. I told the service manager and he told me it's new let it go for awhile and see if it goes away. Has anyone had this issue and does anyone have any idea whats happening? Nothing like have a new truck smell like an old one.

It's possible that rather than a burning oil smell it's a coolant leak in your heater core.
If you have checked your engine for oil leaks & there are none, then I think your dealer should do a pressure test on the cooling system just to be sure......
