Hello my Name is Anthony I just put 275/75/18 BF Goodrich All Terrains on my 2004 Silverado with a 3" body lift. My speedometer is off by 1 or 2 MPH. Do I really need to calibrate the computer to recognize this . Will the shift pattern do any damage to my trans. If so help...........................

    Thank You
    Anthony

1 to 2 mph is not going to effect much. I have OCD so that would bother me by being off. I installed a superlift speedo calibrator on mine. it is installed inline and can be tweeked to get speed correct. otherwise programmers will do it based on old to new tire sizes.

You should be fine with 1-2mph off. The factory computer compensates I believe up to 10% for tire size. The factory knows some people are going to go to a differant size tire. Most speedo's are off alittle from the factory.
