can 17" rims replace 16" stock rims??

    Can you upgrade to 17" rims without changing anything?? I would like to get some new rims but most are 17", just a thought here!!!Thanks.:rofl:

    Nothing mechanical on your truck, the only thing you'd need are the 17" diameter TIRES. I went from 16" tires to 18" tires on my 2002 silverado, didn't need anything, i still have good stopping power. Actually found with my larger rims, that my brakes cooled off faster and actually increased my braking when driving through the city.

    I have 17s on my 1988, and they had 16s before... Easy to do.
