So, winter has again shown it's face around here.. snow..melt...ice ...melt...snow..warm....cold...snow..ice, you get it. all the while i'm forced to see my boat, and think of how badly i wish i were on it. I know there are plenty of people in here who feel the same way, so lets see em, what do you have for a boat? what do you do on it , target a certain fish? tow some unlucky half drunk fool in a crazy whip on a tube? lets hear some good ones

Move to the west coast and use your boat all year.
I was out salmon fishing yesterday, bloody cold but the sun was shining.
Caught 4 nice winter chinook, and 5 dungeness crab.

    Cheers from Victoria, B.C.

It's unusually warm (~70F) this weekend in NC and, thus, I'm working on the truck at the family lake house. As I type this I'm staring past the house out the shop window, and I can see the pontoon boat and jetski in their lifts -- both covered.

I don't fish -- but the lake's been full of bass boats all weekend long.

It is 75 here today and people here use there boats all year long. Very few cold weekends. I only wish I had a boat for running the river but I too do not fish.

We leave the fishing boat in in the winter but the Malibu and sea doo's come out. So I deff feel your pain. I enjoy any water sport over fishing

see, up in the north we like the winter. the lakes freeze over so we can fish without a boat!

Fishing without a boat is what docks are for. If you don't have one of those there are plenty of public bridges, too. No ice or cold needed for either of them!

Pleasure boater, tried fishing but in larger lakes like Lake Cumberland I just have no luck while others do great. lol I'll stick to farm ponds for fishin and save the boating for having fun with my wife and daughter and on guy weekends taking long KY Spirit induced naps. lol Here are some pics to hopefully warm you up, the truck boat pic is end of Dec where I took the boat down to
storage at the lake from the building behind my house. The rest are summer time fun to give you that warm feeling. The one of the 3 boats from the water rafted up is from Octobe the water at Lake Cumberland was actually warm enough for a short dip without too much shrinkage. I think I did make a mistake getting a boat with AC as the wife stays below a lot and reads her nook. Even my daugther likes to watch a movie. Seems I'm the only one out swimming lol
