Just wondering if anybody else besides myself wastes a beautifully good hour listening to this radio show on NPR  (if you listen to show u would understand lol). If you don't and are a gear head you should. Good Learning Show with a bit of old man humor.

I do love these guys..!... but I never listen to them because they're on at a specific time, on a specific channel (that I don't normally check). You can d/l the audio as podcasts but that's not really the same. It's like watching a taped sports game or watching a F1 race a day later.... but I like them a lot. Quite a few good laughs, and I love trying to guess what they'll say is wrong. It's like automotive trivia!

I haven't listened to their show, but I spent some time on their site. It was pretty boreing cuz most of the guys there don't believe in modifying or improving your vehicles. They're of the belief that the way the factory made it is the way it should be. No hotrodding, no high performance, no speeding, no off road mods, no fun

I usually listen to Ed Wallace on KLIF on Saturday morning. He's starting to wear on me, but the show is pretty good overall and is on from 8 AM until 1 PM on Saturday. Before that I did listen to Car Talk.

    Stephan-

They aren't a 'modding' show, they are about car repair. So when someone has an issue with their vehicle they give advice on what to look for, what the problem might be, and how to fix it (or what to ask to get fixed).

Boy you got that right Steven. If some poor sap came on there and asked a que about aftermarket wheels, making his car faster, a lift kit, or any other fun thing, half a dozen members would jump all over him & tell him to leave it the h*ll alone & don't mess with it lol... They're kind of rude to posters & even fight among themselves... no fun being over there

I haven't been over to their forums, I just listen to the show. But I do agree its just about car repair and going to the dealership to get it fixed. But I'm sure there is legal matters on what they can and can't do. I tune in to listen and learn a few things so I know what is wrong with my automobiles from the various sounds it could be making.

I have also used their site to find reliable mechaincs when I just don't have the time to repair something myself.
