What do you recommend for cleaning and polishing the stock rims on the OBS trucks? Also, has anyone used the Mothers Powerball and how do you like it? Is there something better you would recommend?

Do the wheels have that protective coating, chrome. or aluminum?

I have used Meguiar's hot rims with some pretty good results. My girlfriend "let the rain" wash her car until I came along... There are a bunch of the black spots on her factory wheels and it did an ok job for the first use. I keep using it and it gets a lot of brake dust off and looks better each time. Be sure to buy the right product for you type of wheel!

The PowerBalls are pretty handy... saves a lot of work.

Avoid the use of a metal polish on clearcoated wheels -- use car wax or a plastic polish instead.

How do you know if they're clearcoated? Rubbing a little metal polish on a clean wheel will turn it near-black in about 5-10 seconds.

The powerball is amazing. I used it with the Mothers powermetal aluminum polish on my aluminum rims, it worked great.
