Clunking when I Accelerate

I have a 2000 Silverado Z71, and when I accelerate from a dead stop, I hear a clunk, not sure what it is. I was thinkin it was the G80 locker, but it sounds like its coming from closer to the transmission/tranfer case, not the rear-end.

    Any suggestions?

My 2004 does the same thing. I saw on here awhile back that it is the end of the drive shaft where it enters the trans. The end of the drive shaft and the trans are noted mated up properly. The grooves in one of them is larger than they should be. Or possibly a bad u joint on the front of the drive shaft.
