    Hey guys,

I have a '97 GMC Sierra 5.0 5-speed M/T. Recently, whenever I accelerate quickly in first and second gears I experience a complete loss of power. I'm worried that my clutch has worn down too much and is slipping (more like not grabbing at all). Does this sound like a possibility? I don't experience any other problems while driving, and it shifts fine imo.
    Thanks in advance!

If your clutch was slipping, the engine would rev out of control while under hard acceleration.

When you say complete loss of power do you mean bogging?

I don't mean bogging. When I feel it happen I immediately take my foot off the accelerator. Now that you mention it, I had not looked at the tach to see the engine speed when it happened. I'll check for it next time I encounter it.
