I have a 2000 Z-71 4X4 that is leaking coolant from the front of the engine. I think it’s coming from the water pump but i’m not sure. The pump isn’t making noise but all my hoses are in good condition and there is no water in the oil. I haven’t been able to see where the leak is but I think its coming from the weep hole in the pump.

So do I need to look at other options before changing the pump and what problems could I encounter while changing said pump? All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

these vehicles are notorious for intake manifold leaks as well...

That’s not too encouraging to hear. The truck has over 190k on it so I shouldn’t be angry. I’m having one heck of a time finding the exact location of the leak though.
