Crank Position Sensor Threaded Insert

I was replacing the Crank Position Sensor on my 1996 Tahoe today, but the threaded insert that the bracket bolts into came out and fell apart.

Dose anyone know how to repair this insert. My local dealership has no clue what the insert is, or how to fix it short of replaceing the entire Timming Chain Cover.

    Help.
