Customizing rear seats help

Well i'm going to start this off by saying i'm a stereo enthusiast. My name is Mike.

    I recently purchased a 2008 chevy silverado, crew cab. 4x4. 4.8L.

The rear seats are a 60/40 split, with the 60 on the drivers side and the 40 on the passenger side. What i would like to do is to remove the 60 portion of the seat and try to get another 40 to install on the drivers side. The reason for that is so that i can have a 40/space/40 seat config in the rear. That way i can have a custom subwoofer box built in the middle of the two seats but still have two good sized rear seats.

Can anyone recommend a site where i could purchase something like that? (the seat i mean) or able to tell me if i purchased another 40 from an auto wrecker if there is a way to get it to fit in on the other side of the truck. Looking under the seat there is another large 3-4" lag bolt sticking up. i didn't take a tape to it, but it appears no where near the positioning of the mounts on the passenger side.

    Any help appreciated.

    Mike

I would just buy buckets and build my console to match your box!!!

Turvok Sounds like a neat idea!

I buy a lot of stuff from 1aauto.com. I just checked and they don't seem to have seats, though. :(

Short of going to your local scrap yards and the pulling the rear seat from a wrecked truck, I'm not sure where else to look.

Well i found a car/boat/rv upholstry place that's going to find a 40 bucket to match the other side, and if it doesn't match he will re upholster it to match he said. Around $300 he figures estimated. So not too bad at all. I'll post pictures to this thread when it's done. I told him no rush though so not sure how long it will take.
