    There should be a relay (I think it's in the under hood fuse panel, I'll have to look tomorrow on my Avy), for providing power when RAP is enabled. This relay is controlled by the RAP module or BCM (I don't know if there's still a separate RAP module in newer model cars, but the mid-90s cars has a separate module for RAP).

    That could very well be, at one time everything was controlled with a relay. The BCM does the same thing, the electro-mechanical relay is a sold state device on the BCM
