Diesel swap in a 93 s10

    Thats a pretty common engine for Isuzu box trucks, we have a small fleet of them at work, I would caution against using a post 2010 model, there were engineering changes made and these engines seem to be more problematic than pre 2010 engines.
    Personal opinion only but the earlier engines do a good job of moving box trucks, they arent the fastest thing on the road but I believe in something like an S10 with decent gearing it would be a good choice for power and mileage.

    thanks for the info. my 2.8 cant hold its own at 70 on the turnpike and id like to be able to hit the highway and cruise without my check engine light coming on.
