I just finished pulling the heads on my 350 Vortec. I'm planning on replacing them. The heads have an 062 casting number on them. I've seen heads for sale with 906 castings. Is there any real difference between the 062 and 906 castings? Are they interchangable? Just a curious newbie. Thanks

After I posted I did some more research and found some heated arguments about the difference in the heads on other Chevy forums. I endend up ordering a pair of 062 since that's what came off.

yeah there's seems to be a lot of difference in opinion on them. Not familiar enough to make any recommendations there.

I'm not well versed in Chevy heads, that's why I'm putting on what I took off.
