door chime low sounding

Just wondering if anyone with the NNBS 07+ Silverados noticed the door chime or seatbelt chime beeping at a really low tone? I don't mind this but one day after only driving 25 miles on full tank of gas my gauge was showing nearly half a tank then after shutting off the engine & waiting a couple hours the chime was sounding normal & the fuel guage was showing almost a full tank. So I'm thinking there must be an electrical problem? The fuel gauge problem only happend once. Had a thought that the low sound may be a sign of low battery life? You know how automakers hide little tricks like that & not tell anyone.
