Door lock problem on 00' K2500 (old style)

I have a 2000 K2500 GMC Sierra truck, which is the old style truck.

The problem: When it is warm out the door locks are slow to actuate or don't work at all, with the remote or with the button inside the cab.

The drivers door exhibits the problem the most, possibly because the actuator has been used most often.

    Is the actuator bad?

Possibly, or the connection could be dirty... Open up the door and clean out the plug that plugs into the actuator...
