Drive Shafts

    I have a 05 short bed reg cab 4x4 silverado. was wondering if some 1 cld help me out. i wanna put on a lighter driveshaft for both front and rear. has any 1 done this? and if so are there any benitfit or bad reactions from doing this?? am still in the thinking process but need more imput. thanxs for the help

    Your truck should have a aluminum rear shaft already. My '05 Crewcab has one.

    I have an aluminum one as well on my 04 Ext. cab short bed. The front drive shaft is a steel one (take a look, it's probably somewhat rusty, I know mine is lol),
