Have a 2001 blazer 4x4. Was taking off the acutator solenoid when I dropped it and it fell behind the firewall.

Checked under the truck and didn't see it so it is still resting on the bell housing somewhere.

    Any suggestions for access there?

    Thanks!

Magnet or claw? Can you actually see it?

Could be sitting on the frame rail tucked in against the body, it's very tight in these trucks. Good luck in your search. Get a led flashlight, they are amazingly bright.

It is indeed tight in there. Fished around with a claw for a while with no success. Will try one more time today before calling it quits. Still had the old actuator valve, hooked it up and tested for vacuum,...tested good. So no big deal if it isn't found. Only $40 sitting on the bell housing somewhere!

Thanks for replies and friendly advice. :great:
