i have a 1988 chevy k2500 cheyenne it has everything but the engine... it has the manual 5 speed transmision and its the wt.

i bought a 1993 silverado with the 4l60e transmission and i cant use that harness cuz it has all the wiring for the automatic transmission. it would throw a code if that stuff isnt hooked up.

i was wondering what i have to do to make that engine work or what engine i have to get to get the 1988 running and passed by the smog referee.

An 88 or newer with all the factory smog equipment generally would pass. Check with Painless Wiring as they may have a harness that will work for you.
