Hello, all, My handle is Mixednuts2@charter.net. From Bellaire,Michigan
Northern Lower part of Michigan on West side of state. I have a 1991
chevrolet Suburban. I want to install a 1970/71 Cadillac 500 CID engine and
TH 400 tranny in this burb. I am having trouble trying to locate and engine
to do this job with. Are there any of you people that know of a friend of
a friend etc that may be a collector of this engine and the accessories that
go along with it. I have a 24'5" Boat that I tow for fishing and need more power
than I am getting now. The present engine has 200,000 miles and it is time
to replace it. Thanks for our help.
    Signed ODD mixednuts

Thats gonna be a hard engine to find, the cost of steel over the last few years has risen a lot and those old cars have become more valuable at the scrappers than the recyling yards due to there immense weight. An early 70's caddie weighs in almost as much as a Suburban on the scale.
    Good luck

Welcome aboard! Good luck with your efforts! I would not want to put gas in the beast you are wanting to build Dr Frankenstien (pronounced Franken Steen).
