I replaced my pads about 13 months ago. My right side was completely worn to the indicator bar. I went out and bought a new caliper and pads. When I took the caliper out of the cradle I discovered that one of the floating pins had rusted, cause the caliper to not release, causing the excessive wear. I replaced the pins and cleaned the inside of the hole that the pins go into and now the caliper works flawlessly. I hope my experience helps anyone out if they come across this type of problem in the future.
