exhaust cutouts

    i have an 2004 silverado z71 5.3 V8 and i was thinking about getting exhaust cutouts do they leak or has anyone had any problems with them i like the straight pipe tone but on the highway dont wanna have the drone on long trips

    I have one but never installed it lol...but I was wondering the same thing.

    They wont leak as long as you have your gasket on and it is not torn
    I just installed my electric receready cutout,I can hit a switch and open and close the cutout,pretty darn nice.No leaks here,never had any leaks either.If it is done right you will not have leaks.But get good quality parts,not cheap.you get what you pay for

    one of my friends got electric cutouts and his kept staying open so i was gonna get manual ones instead of electric
