Well i just recently had a straight pipe exhaust put on my 5.3l silverado. I still have the cats on there but i have no mufflers and it isnt as loud as i think it should be. Even the guy who put it on said "wow this isn't that loud". Im pissed cause i blew $250 on this exhaust to be loud and well its not. What am i missing?

It may not be loud enough for you, but it's probably loud enough for the cops to give you a few tickets #$@^&*

get some performance cats and you will be fine... but loud is not always better power wise !

I have the high flow cats with straight pipes and it's pretty loud even for me.

What size pipe did you use and did you run duals?
