FAST LSXRT Intake

    I'm am looking to upgrading my intake... looking at a FAST LSXRT... then to followup with a can. The power gain is pretty much above 3700 rpm... focusing on mid to high rpm. Has anyone had any experience with this intake? Comments appreciated.

    I have a fast intake on my 5.7, cost me almost $3,000 for 23hp. Dyno proven. I even smoothed the bellows, I would suggest spending the money elsewhere.

    What else did you do for $3k? The intake costs $960. Did you cam it etc. I'm looking to upgrade my intake in prep for a cam and larger throttle body. I don't see many other options out there for less than $6k. For 6k... I'd rather put that toward a 6.2.

    You need to do more research on what else is needs in that swap, throttle body, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, possible injectors, map relocator and on and on. I already had a cam and supporting mods prior to the intake, I'm also running a 3,000 stall. I don't want you too be diss appointed.

    Thanks for getting back to me... I'm still researching it. says with my 6.0 I can use my existing throttle body and injectors. Maybe I'll just postpone this and pursue a can and radiator upgrade first.

    What are your plans for this truck after the upgrades?

    Just asking because 3700 rpm is not in the normal usable range.

    The 3700 rpm is where the start of the biggest gains start. I know that's not an optimal power band... my primary thoughts is that I want a less restrictive intake. If your looking up intakes for the LS engines there really isnt allot out there. Its not like the old days when you'd pair up a decent cam, stall convert, holly 700 and a torqer II intake. My ultimate goal is to have a power band between 2600 - 4000 rpm.

    OK... I have settled on an intake. One that is a better fit for my L92 heads and power band I am looking for. I'll post more on it later under my new toys garage.
