    did you mean to do the black rims dull or they just turned out not shiny?

    No I went an bought matte black black paint and a flat clear coat. You can use diff paint for a shine look, I just didn't wanna go that route I like the matte look better. Just make sure the the clear coat you buy is good for high heat or outdoor use. And they should say if its flat or not to.

    Would painting the wheels affect wheel balance at all? I'm guessing nothing noticeable since it's such a thin layer, but was curious if you noticed anything.

    I have not noticed any difference. There's no shaking or odd noises, or chimming on freeway or at any speed.
