Getting ready to take off on a trip to the Skyline Drive,VA, Blue Ridge Pky,NC, Greenville, SC, Dahlonagah, GA and back to Florida. About 25 days of fun... We have a 30' travel trailer pulled by our 2005 Chevy 2500 Duramax diesel. Great truck! We have about 90,000 on it and lots of the miles are from towing. Gets about 12-14 mpg pulling. If we are in the mountains it does drop to 10-11 but it beats the 6-7 the gas boys are dealing with.
Will try to post some pics latter. CU, R

    Good Trip

Well we have been to the Skyline Drive and are now in Greenville, SC for the US Pro Cycling Championships this weekend. So far we have averaged 14 MPG, Not bad... better than we have gotten in the past. Just did a service before we headed out on this trip, must of helped. We are posting some cycling stuff on www.daytonabikeclub.com if anyone wants to take a peek. Later, Ron

We are back home in FL and we sure did have a good time. The truck pulled like a charm. Travel trailer is 32' about 11,000 lbs
And we averaged for the whole 28 days we were gone about 13.8 mpg, that was in the mountains of VA, NC, SC and GA then back to good old flat FL. We also managed to rack up about 200 miles a week on our bicycles. Can not wait for next year, off to the west coast trailer in tow.
