Kind of an odd question but as far as repairs go.... If you are completely knowledgeable on the 98 Silverado 4x4.... How difficult would it be to work on a s10 4x4? I realize its 8 vs. 6 cylinders. Boyfriend tells me he doesn't know anything about my s-10 and that it has things his doesnt.... yet he repairs his Silverado as well as 70 Monte Carlo and 71 Nova... I would just like to know how much harder it really is or be able to call BS on the line he's feeding me.... Any input would be appreciated....

It is not harder. Sure, the parts are different between the two trucks, but a gm 4x4 truck is a gm 4x4 truck. They both have a t-case, transmission, front diff. Changing a spark plug is almost the same in every motor. Things are tighter to get to on the S10. But, it is not harder. I think that he just does not want to do it.

I think calling BS is the way to go. For "all intents and purposes", they are the same (but, just keep it between us, haha)
