O.K. so I'm getting used to the upgraded site although there are some nagging issues, but please tell me why I have to look at a Superduty ad when I'm reading somebody's post? The site is slower than before, and after I log in and hit the "today's posts" button I get the message " this forum requires xx seconds between searches" , I know it's a work in progress but it's getting a little frustrating, but the Ford ads are really pissing me off, it's not really what I want to see while I'm browsing a G.M. enthusiast site.

    Chevy Truck Forum Mini Update

    To answer your questions:

    1) I'm working on the speed issues, the site should be much faster yesterday and today than it was earlier in the week. Due to the plug-ins that are being used, there will be some trial-and-error, and someone came up with some better ways to manage the code so that will be improved in the near future.

    2) There are a few image files that aren't loading properly, like the SKYPE icon and some of the group icons. Working on that too.

    3) The "today's posts" is technically a search so we've got to do flood control to keep the site up to speed. That should be reduced once everything else speeds up.

    4) Those Ford ads are being paid for my Ford, so if you like it and click on the ad then Ford gets hit for the cost of the ad. ??? Not sure what to tell you, they're targeting this site for their ads. :) Ford is helping to make this site possible! hahaha
