Alright guys so I need a fuel new pump, but I'm not sure on a few things. Its an 02 silverado 2500hd with the 6.0 liter gas motor.

My pump only has the pump connector on top and the three lines, no fuel tank pressure sensor (black sensor connector in all the pics I'm seeing). All the pictures of replacement pumps being sold by just about every place has the replacement pumps including the tank pressure sensor... I'm assuming I can just not use the pump and it will be fine, but I just want to confirm?

Also what portion of the VIN has the "U" engine code... I have a U in my vin, but not sure whether its the portion I should be looking at.

    Thanks guys

The info I'm seeing for the fuel pump shows a 2 connector model or a 1 connector model.

well that's a step in the right direction, what info are you looking at? All the pumps I keep finding are separated from whether or not they have evap emissions, which I'm not sure if thats whether or not they have the pressure sensor on them (the 2nd connector or just the 3rd line that goes to the evap canister?

Well I started digging a bit more and you were right unplugged :great: Found the 1 and 2 connector versions! It does apear the evap version IS the two connector tank pressure sensor version, glad I checked.

So this brings up another question:

I want to get the Delphi pump, but that would require waiting a bit for it to ship... the other option is autozone has a "Airtex Master" brand pump in stock that I could get tonight.... I've heard to stay away from Carter, but is Airmex just carter in disguise? Anyone used any of their pumps?
