Get Yourself Some Porch Lights!

    So I am confused....... Essentially "porch lights" are extra backup/ cargo lights that are more powerful than the tiny little cargo lights in our third brake light? I would assume they are not that hard to wire up?

    You are absolutely correct. Porch lights are just auxiliary rear lights. Truckers use them to hook up and unhook the airlines and lights from trailers at night. Technically for my uses, they're just auxiliary backup lights though I do also use them for night hookups to trailers.

    Wiring them up isn't that hard for a basic setup. Technically, you can just run the power through a switch and call it a day, though I like to run everything through relays and tie it into other systems to automate their use.
