Government's break-even price for GM: $133.78

    The U.S. government would have to sell its General Motors stock for $133.78 per share to recoup the nearly $50 billion it spent bailing out the Detroit automaker.

    At this point, I would be ok with the govt just distributing the shares evenly to every US citizen, and we just collect on the dividends. (when ever there are some). There is no point in putting this much money out, and then selling it off at a discount to a big fish.
