I've been researching head units for a while. I had pretty much decided on a Kenwood unit, but my decision was mainly based on the fact that it has an RMS output of 22 watts per channel, which is higher than most brands. The more I research, the more I notice that I like the features of other brands better than the Kenwood, so I've begun to wonder, does the output of the headunit make THAT much of a difference? I have found a Pioneer unit that I really like. I had a Pioneer in my last truck and loved it. It has an RMS output of 14 watts per channel. Would that extra 8 watts per channel make a noticeable difference?
