heater not working!!

    my heater is maybe 5 months old yet it will not blow hot or even warm air and my vents don't work for some reason it will only blow the defrost and floor vents .:confused:

    i think i saw somebody post something similar to this under hvac controls. if i remember i think it had something to do with a resister on the blower

    Check your coolant level in the radiator as well, my Sierra did the same thing and my indicator light never reported that it was almost out of water, I added coolant and had heat in a few minutes!

    what year/modle rig you got?

    doest sound like a resistor, more like hvac actuators sticking or needing reset. there are a few program updates for that kind of concern too

    its a 93' sonoma 4.3 sle

    woops thaught it was a much new'r rig

    sounds like a bad vacuum actuator or vacuum leak. unforunatily you need to pull the dash off

    dang man if i could just get it to blow out the vents
